A classical music student from age 4 until 21, Diego then switched to jazz. He studied in Mexico City's National Conservatory of Music from 1985 to 1992. From 1995, he studied modern harmony with Juan Millan until the year 2000. Diego has studied composition with Enrico Chapela and contemporary music composition with Edgar Merino. Most recently he has studied with Adrian Gutierrez, taking composition courses from Baroque to Impressionism. Diego's original music reflects the scope of a life of study, incorporating classical, jazz, ancient rhythm and modern Mexican music.
